During eyelash extensions treatment, single synthetic lashes are attached to your own natural lashes. 1 synthetic lash should be attached to 1 natural lash. This makes the extensions look very natural, yet your lashes will appear a lot fuller and longer. At Divine Lashes, we carry various lengths, thicknesses and curls and customize the design according to your eye shape and your desired look. The lashes are attached only to your natural lashes, and will not touch the skin.
Everyone has between 80 and 180 lashes per eye. Single lashes take 1-2 hours to apply depending on the condition of the lashes and the number of lashes applied.
The adhesive used in the eyelash extension procedure attaches the synthetic lashes to your own lashes. Divine Lashes carry several types of glue, and a glue best suitable for the client is selected based on her skin condition and other factors. Our selection of glue includes a medical grade adhesive approved by the FDA in the US, which is the same as the glue used by the Doctors directly on the patient's skin to close wounds, with added black color for eyelash purposes (the glue will not touch the skin for eyelash extension procedure). The medical grade adhesive we use is odorless, and does not sting even when the client's eyes are open when attaching the lower lashes. Client's eyes are closed when attaching the upper lashes. The procedure is painless, and most of our clients fall asleep during the treatment.
Your eyelashes have a life cycle of 60 to 90 days. During this cycle, the lashes grow, mature and naturally fall out, and are replaced by new younger lashes, which will also last for 60 to 90 days... and the cycle goes on. Synthetic lashes are attached to lashes that have grown long enough to support the lashes, and will fall out with the old natural lash. Touch-ups are recommended every 2, 3, or 4 weeks, depending on the growth cycles of your natural lashes, and how well you care for your lashes at home. Clients who are new to wearing eyelash extensions usually need a refill at about 2 weeks. Why? because they lack the experience of eyelash extensions care. More experienced clients get refills between 3 and 5 weeks. Caring for your new eyelash extensions is very simple. Treat them with gentle care; no rubbing, pulling, curling, sauna on regular basis or mascara. However, you can go swimming and take your regular showers as water does not remove these lashes.

These eyelash extensions must also be removed by your technician. You must never try to remove them on your own as they are permanently attached to your own lashes. If you try to remove them without the proper adhesive remover you may pull out your own natural lashes. When removed by your certified technician using our adhesive remover, your own natural lashes will not be damaged.
